Robbery - Bookmakers Hucknall

Alert message sent 17/02/2012 16:59:00
Information sent on behalf of Nottinghamshire Police

I am appealing for information following a robbery at a bookmakers in Hucknall.

Three masked men jumped over the front counter at Betfred, in Ruffs Drive, and stole cash.

Handbags belonging to two female staff members were also snatched in the incident which happened at about 8.20pm last night (Thursday 16 February 2012).

Some of the stolen property was recovered at about 9pm in Cornfield Road, Kimberley.

No weapons were used in the robbery but one of the employees received a minor injury to her hand as she was pushed over by one offender.

We believe the robbers may have fled the scene in two vehicles, a silver car and a small black car, and are trying to trace the whereabouts of the vehicles.

If anyone believes they have seen either vehicle abandoned in the area is asked to call us immediately

Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police control room on 101, quoting incident number 800 of February 16, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
